Jerry Douglas - FreshGrass

storyJerry Douglas first picked up a dobro at the age of eight, after his father (a steelworker who played bluegrass in his spare time) introduced him to the instrument at a Flatt and Scruggs concert. Douglas launched his solo career with the 1979 LP Fluxology, and by the middle of the next decade, he was Nashville’s most in-demand dobro session player. An avid collaborator, his 2012 release Traveler includes guest performances by the likes of Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Keb’ Mo’, and Marc Cohn.
