Here’s what you need to know about the best weekend of the year.

Parking, Shuttle, & Maps

**PARKING NOTICE: Please note that this year the city of North Adams will be charging $40 for festival goers to park in some city lots. Cars parked at metered street spaces will be subject to tickets from the city  beyond prepaid time. Free festival parking is only available in the lots on the map linked below.**

FreshGrass’ Free Parking:

Shuttle Schedule
Friday: 5pm–12:30am
Saturday: 10:30am–12:30am
Sunday: 10:30–7pm

Shuttle picks up every 20-30 mins directly in front of the accessible parking lot on Marshall St. (at traffic light) and makes a loop to all stops.

Check-in

Check-in is located in Courtyard A, MASS MoCA’s main courtyard.

  • Please be ready to show your e-tickets to receive your FreshGrass wristband(s).
  • Please check our bag policies and the list of what not to bring below.
  • Once these check-in steps are complete and you have your festival wristband, feel free to utilize the Re-Entry Gate for the remainder of the festival.
  • To those over the age of 21: ID check is located at bars throughout the venue.

Ticket winners, FreshPass ticket-holders, press, and festival guests: please join the line labeled VIP/Press/FreshPass located at the right side of the tent. 

Camping

FreshGround Registration
Friday: 11am–10pm
Saturday: 10am–10pm
Sunday: Check out by 8pm

Shuttle picks up every 20-30 mins from FreshGround and remote parking and drops off directly in front of the accessible parking lot on Marshall St. (at traffic light).

Policies

  • For your safety, all festival-goers are subject to a comprehensive security search.
  • Personal chairs are allowed in Joe’s Field only, not in the courtyards. Please do not leave chairs on the field overnight—they may disappear!
  • Masking is required in the Hunter Center—regardless of vaccination status. Masking is welcomed throughout the festival.
  • No bags over 8″ x 11″ x 4″ are allowed in the museum galleries.
  • There will be ADA viewing areas located next to the front-of-house sound tent. Please inquire at the box office.
  • Prohibited items: weapons, alcohol, drugs, smoking and vaping gear, flammable material, glass containers, unsealed liquid containers, tents (pop-up or shade), coolers, pets, laser pointers, dinosaurs, glow sticks, totems, and full water bottles. (Note: Empty water bottles are allowed and can be filled for free on-site).
  • We prohibit flash photography, cameras with detachable lenses, tripods, selfie sticks, and drones.
  • By purchasing a ticket to join MASS MoCA’s visitors, staff, and artists on the museum campus, you agree to follow a Courtesy Code, detailed here.

Visit the North Adams Farmers Market on Saturday from 9am to 1pm, located just outside MASS MoCA’s campus.

21+ must have a wristband from “I.D. Check,” located at bars throughout the campus.
