Parking, Shuttle, & Maps

**PARKING NOTICE: Please note that this year the city of North Adams will be charging $40 for festival goers to park in some city lots. Cars parked at metered street spaces will be subject to tickets from the city  beyond prepaid time. Free festival parking is only available in the lots on the map linked below.**

FreshGrass’ Free Parking:

Shuttle Schedule
Friday: 5pm–12:30am
Saturday: 10am–12:30am
Sunday: 10am–7pm

Shuttle picks up every 20-30 mins directly in front of the accessible parking lot on Marshall St. (at traffic light) and makes a loop to all stops.

Check-in

Check-in is located in Courtyard A, MASS MoCA’s main courtyard.

  • Please be ready to show your e-tickets to receive your FreshGrass wristband(s).
  • Please check our bag policies and the list of what not to bring below.
  • Once these check-in steps are complete and you have your festival wristband, feel free to utilize the Re-Entry Gate for the remainder of the festival.
  • To those over the age of 21: ID check is located at bars throughout the venue.

Ticket winners, FreshPass ticket-holders, press, and festival guests: Please join the line labeled VIP/Press/FreshPass located at the right side of the tent. 

Camping

FreshGround Registration
Friday: 11am–10pm
Saturday: 10am–10pm
Sunday: Check out by 8pm

Shuttle picks up every 20-30 mins from FreshGround and remote parking and drops off directly in front of the accessible parking lot on Marshall St. (at traffic light).

Festival Do’s and Don’ts

  • By purchasing a ticket to join MASS MoCA’s visitors, staff, and artists on the museum campus, you agree to follow a Courtesy Code, detailed here.
  • For your safety, all festival-goers are subject to a comprehensive security search.
  • Masking is welcomed throughout the festival, but not required.
  • There will be ADA viewing areas located next to the front-of-house sound tent. Please inquire at the box office.
  • If visiting the museum galleries, no bags over 8″ x 11″ x 4″ are allowed inside.

What’s Allowed

  • Personal chairs are allowed in Joe’s Field only, not in the courtyards. Please do not leave chairs on the field overnight—they may disappear!
  • Empty water bottles are allowed and can be filled for free on-site.

What’s Prohibited

  • Prohibited items cannot be admitted or checked. Please leave these items at home or in your locked vehicle. For questions, please contact [email protected].

  • outside food & beverages (except for those with infants or medical needs)

  • coolers
  • pets (except service animals)
  • aerosol cans
  • professional cameras, flash photography, cameras with detachable lenses & recording devices (unless authorized)
  • drones (unless authorized)
  • poles, selfie sticks & tripods
  • laser pointers & glow sticks
  • sports equipment
  • skateboards/roller skates/bicycles
  • mechanized vehicles (except accessibility related)

Food & Drink

Note: No outside food or drink permitted (exception for those with infants or medical needs). But with so many options, who could ask for anything more?

In venue:

Outside Venue(on MASS MoCA Campus)

  • BIGGDADDY’s Philly Steakhouse authentic cheesesteak, wings, and BBQ
  • Bright Ideas Brewing: craft-brewed beer from right here on the MASS MoCA campus (note: beverages purchased at Bright are NOT allowed beyond their brewery)
  • Casita: Taco window open 12–6pm Friday; patio open Saturday & Sunday, 12pm until sell out
  • Lickety Split: In case the ice cream window — or counter inside the museum — is more your speed
  • Tunnel City Coffee: North Adams’ own coffee roasters by the cup or the pound

21+ must have a wristband from “I.D. Check,” located at bars throughout the campus.
