Why is FreshGrass and the Momentary requiring a full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test to attend the festival?
The safety of attendees, staff, artists, and the local community is our number one priority. With COVID-19 cases still prevalent in the NWA region and consideration that many musicians, vendors and guests will travel to attend, we will keep health and safety requirements in place.
What qualifies as a full COVID-19 vaccination?
According to CDC guidelines, a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. For FreshGrass | Bentonville, that date would be May 6, 2022.
Where can I get a COVID-19 test near the festival?
COVID-19 testing is offered in many pharmacies and healthcare centers. A list of nearby COVID-19 testing locations can be found online at NWAcouncil.org/testing.
Note: The Momentary and FreshGrass do not endorse any particular COVID-19 testing provider. COVID-19 testing providers are located all across Northwest Arkansas.
Do kids need to have a COVID-19 test to attend?
Yes, children ages 2 and up will need a negative COVID-19 test result to attend FreshGrass | Bentonville 2021. A negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours of attending the festival.
Will staff, volunteers, and artists be subject to this policy?
Staff and volunteers of the Momentary are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Artists will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to perform at the festival, similar to the requirement of attendees.
What if I am exempt from getting the vaccine because of [x,y,z]?
In accordance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations, FreshGrass and the Momentary recognize there may be certain circumstances exempting an individual from receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. We ask attendees who are not vaccinated to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours upon entry.
I have had the COVID-19 virus and have natural immunity. Does the policy apply to me?
Yes. All festival attendees ages 2 and up must either present proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 diagnostic test results obtained within 72 hours (3 days) of first entering FreshGrass | Bentonville.
Can I take an at-home COVID-19 test?
No, at-home COVID-19 tests will not be accepted.
Why do you not have all attendees present a negative test? Why do only non-vaccinated individuals need to present a negative test?
Per CDC recommendations, COVID-19 vaccines are effective at helping protect against severe disease and death from variants of the virus that causes COVID-19 currently circulating, including the Delta variant. For unvaccinated attendees ages 2 and up, we require a negative COVID-19 test result to be obtained within 72 hours (3 days) of first entering FreshGrass | Bentonville for their safety, as well as the safety of other attendees.
I’m fully vaccinated. Do I have to bring my physical card or will you accept a digital copy?
Thanks for being vaccinated against COVID-19! Original vaccination cards, printed copy, or digital copy of your vaccine card or vaccine record will be accepted. Please be sure you bring a valid ID matching the name on your documentation.
Do we need to show our vaccination card or COVID-19 test each day to enter?
Festival goers ages 2 and up are required to bring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to show upon initial entry and to receive a festival wristband, as well as a valid ID. Festival wristbands are to be worn throughout the full duration of the festival.
For example: You show your COVID-19 vaccine card or negative COVID-19 diagnostic test upon entry on Friday, May 20, and receive your 2-day festival wristband. Keep your wristband on for entry on Saturday, May 21 and you will not need to show your vaccination or test result again. If you remove your wristband by accident and need to obtain a new one, the proof of vaccination or negative test will need to be shown again on Saturday, May 21.
