Kicking off the festivities on Friday evening will be an extra-special collaboration between two all-time favorite bluegrass artists, flatpicker Michael Daves and banjoist Tony Trischka. It will be the first time at the festival for both of them, and this pairing is particularly symbolic as it sets the stage for the first annual FreshGrass Duo Award the following morning. Both renowned teachers and formidable players, we are eager to hear their spin on the classic duo form.
