Crooked Still is one of the defining bands of progressive bluegrass in the ‘00’s. Formed in Boston by singer — and FreshGrass alum — Aoife O’Donovan and bassist Corey DiMario in 2001, the group has been home to such globetrotters as fiddler Brittany Haas, cellist Tristan Clarridge, and founding-member banjoist Gregory Liszt. After a series of records on Signature Sounds that chronicled their acoustic innovations, they announced a hiatus in 2011. Known for soaring vocals, innovative instrumentation, and technical skill, this reunion performance is currently their only scheduled 2017 performance and promises rich synergy and celebration.
